Our History

ViewPoint Technology Club (formerly Computer Club)

The Computer Club met informally without bylaws or formal structure from 1990 through 1994. During this time Royal Osby, being by far the most computer knowledgeable person, lead the meetings (which were held in the room under the stage).

In 1995 with a large growth in members it became obvious that the club needed more structure and a set of bylaws. In 1996 a committee was struck to develop a set of Bylaws. That committee consisted of Dennis Donovan, Joe Mammino, Bob McCullough, Royal Osby, Betty Newton & Vera McCloud. At this same time a slate of officers was elected and in the spring of 1997 a draft of the bylaw was presented and adopted. With the group growing rapidly a larger room was required so we moved to the Fun Factory (now Kokopelli room)
